The Foundry Harley-Davidson PDF Print E-mail
We reproduce a message from Harley-Davidson UK that clarifies the realtionship with The Foundry and the future of Invicta Chapter UK.  In light of all the enquiries and speculation about the future of Invicta Chapter UK we can assure you we will continue as a HOG Chapter.  Here is a copy of a letter from Marjorie Rae Manager of HOG & Rider Services Harley-Davidson UK & Ireland

Many, in fact probably most of you know that Harley-Davidson UK has made the decision to bring to an end its relationship with Robinson's The Foundry, Invicta Chapter's sponsoring dealer. In light of this and the number of messages that I have received expressing concern about the Chapter's status and future I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with a summary of H.O.G. UK's intentions regarding the Chapter and to put to rest any invalid speculations that may be circulating.

H.O.G. UK intends to continue to recognize and directly support Invicta Chapter after The Foundry has closed (due to happen by 9 September 2010). Until that time H.O.G. UK will work with and on behalf of the Chapter to effectively and constructively manage the Chapter through the transitional period. I will be working closely with the Chapter Director, Nick Ovenden to do so. Following on from the dealer closing he and I will work together to keep the Chapter going until such time as a new dealer is appointed. The Foundry has been a part of the Harley-Davidson UK and Ireland dealer network for 20 years and, in turn, Invicta Chapter has become an important part of the UK and Ireland H.O.G. Chapter network. H.O.G. and Harley-Davidson recognizes and values that. The Harley-Davidson UK team is currently working to find a replacement dealer and in due course, H.O.G. would hope to facilitate a Chapter adoption allowing Invicta Chapter to remain intact sponsored by a new dealer.

I hope this helps to clarify things and that you will find this information useful in fielding any questions that may be put to you regarding this subject. Please feel free to share this message with others or refer them to me should they want a direct response to a query or concern.
